Swiss Golf motivates children and young people to get to know the sport of golf and to play it throughout their lives.

We are pleased to advise families on finding their nearest golf club, and we put them in touch with the junior captain.

We offer national events, tournaments, and support and development programmes for around 6,000 juniors. Values such as fairness, openness of the system, transparency and sustainability are important to us.

We make training materials, instructions and tools available to the golf clubs for setting up and developing their junior sections. We organise training for the junior organisers of the 98 golf clubs and encourage them to exchange their experiences.
As in other kinds of sport, we offer juniors the opportunity to take the “Brevet Sportif” (sports certificate) test and, once they have passed, to play free of charge on other courses outside of their home club.

Age categories and types of tournament

Girls and boys are divided into different age groups: U12, U14, U16, U18.
Our tournament system covers both stroke play junior tournaments – at regional and national level – and match play events. Swiss Golf also organises the National Championships for U14 & U12 and U18 & U16. At the Swiss Juniors Interclub Championships, juniors play with enormous enthusiasm as a team.
